How I do organization |
As you can see, the list is pretty detailed. This week is really quiet for me. Usually I have a lot more things going on. As you can see I schedule at least one workout every day. That's important. This week I am only cooking dinner at home twice. Last night my mom made fish tacos and Thursday I'm having dinner with our old neighbors. Tonight I'm making chicken cacciatore and Wednesday I'm trying this delicious sounding recipe for White Chicken Lasagna. As always I will be sure to let you know how it comes out. I find this list is a really good place to note small tasks like "pick up prescriptions" that are important but kind of easy to forget. When I think of tasks like that I jot them down in the reminders section on my phone and then transfer them to my master list Monday morning when I make a new one. In addition to the daily tasks I note things at the end that need to be accomplished over the week but not necessarily on any specific day. I keep the list in my planner and consult it frequently. I used to just toss the list out (recycle it) when I made the new one but Jeremy suggested I keep them as a semi-interesting reminder of what I've done. As you can see there's a box next to each item and when things go as planned, every single box is checked off. I love that feeling! Eagle-eyed readers don't be alarmed by the lack of a check next to "Drive Cher to car repair place". She's not still waiting for me. She just got a ride from her parents. What do you think about my list? Crazy? Too much? Do you do something similar? How do you stay organized? Most importantly, who wants to help me glue my broken blinker wand? Any takers?
I love that you finally started collecting your lists! You're welcome!
ReplyDeletehaha As always, excellent advice Mr. Doughty. Maybe I should start dating them too?
