Train Love

Happy Monday friends!  Was your weekend an ideal balance of fun, relaxing and productive?  Mine was pretty close.  Friday I went running with Cher.  She made a new route for us and it made a huge difference.  We've been running the same route for several months and I think we didn't realize but it was getting kind of boring.  Afterwards we got fro yo and of course it was amazing.
Saturday I went to yoga and then ran a few errands including visits to my GB holy trinity (Target, HL, SVDP).  Stay tuned for a post on a pocket square project I am working on.  Saturday night I had a lovely time at the Kappa Beta Gamma Multiple Sclerosis Benefit with Jeremy.  My basket, pictured here, sold for $55!  Yay!  I may have mentioned before that I am Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the National Railroad Museum located here in GB.  I really enjoy the work I do with the Board and find it interesting and rewarding.  During the holidays I brought my train-loving godson to the Museum's Polar Express event and he had the time of his life.  Last weekend for the first time they hosted a Great Bunny Train event.  I invited my godson (and his mother) as well as Cher and her daughter.  It was a really nice event, fun and well-run and the kids had a great time.  I feel very lucky to know such special kids and get to spend time with them.

After the event we made the typical weekend Woodman's trip and I went running with Cher.  For dinner I made lasagna.  I modified the recipe by using my own marinara sauce and subbing ground turkey Italian sausage for the ground beef.  I also used ricotta in place of some of the cottage cheese since we had some on hand that I wanted to use up.  It turned out great and I was able to enjoy some for lunch today too.  I hope you had a lovely weekend and are looking forward to a short work week.
